Fayie’s Favorite Dog Breed

Fayie’s Favorite Dog Breed

Dogs, Dogs & Dogs

What can I say. I am a sucker for animals. Despite being a crazy cat person, I will still welcome all dogs with open arms.

I am just like the rest of you, there are certain breeds I like and others I tend to not go for when adopting.

However, if I was to pick up a stray dog, regardless of the breed, it will still receive my full undivided attention.

Before I start, between the breeds, I always tend to enjoy the bigger medium to large breeds. Totally opposite to cats.

I see them more as a loyal guardian companion who part of the family as opposed to just another house pet.

Below, you would be able to find my favorite top 10 dog breeds.

Golden Retriever

A golden Retriever is probably one of the most recognized dog breeds out there today. Regardless of such fame, it is my most favorite breed. They are gentle massive giants who are friendly towards all.

German Shepherd

Just something about a German Shepherd always have me so dumbfounded and in awe. They look majestic with their often wolf-like appearance. A well trained German Shepherd through trust and loyalty is one of the most outstanding dogs I seen. They definitely my #2 favorite.

As a main purebred dog, they are very popular cross in some of of newer breeds such as the King Shepherds, Golden Shepherd, Alaskan Shepherd, Shepsky or the Wolf Shepherd just to name a few.

Bernese Mountain Dog

This massive big dog, also known as the Bernese Mountain Dog are just simply gorgeous. They are giant and intimidating yet they are loving and gentle. If in the future, I do get another dog, the Bernese will be up there with one of my choices for sure.

Siberian Husky

Siberian Husky

Siberian Husky are probably the #1 most known dog breed to all dog lovers & non-dog lovers. They are super popular due to their wolf-like appearance and they appear in many Snow movies such as Eight Below & Snow Dogs. Never-the-less, they are one of my favorites breeds of all time.

Alaskan Klee Kai

Who wouldn’t want a tiny Husky part of their family. The Alaskan Klee Kai are very intelligent and high-activity dog. They look very similar to a Siberian Husky except for being much smaller in size. This particular breed usually are mixed with the Alaskan Husky & Siberian Huskies.

Labrador Retriever

While they are not as cute looking as a Golden Retriever, doesn’t mean these dogs are not cute at all. Labrador Retriever are one of the most friendliest breeds I have met. They are playful gentle giants. A breed I wouldn’t mind having if I couldn’t get any of the ones above for any reasons.

Australian Kelpie

While Australian Kelpie or short as just Kelpies are very common breed in Australia. They are still super gorgeous breed with their dingo-like appearance. Myth Busters – Kelpies are not related to Dingo in any way despite a lot of similarities between the two breeds. Scientist have proven they have no DNA/Blood relating to the Dingoes at all. However, these two breeds are able to interbreed.

Border Collies

While there is three major types of Collies Breeds, the Border Collies to me as my favorites, they have lots of color variances from Black to White to Grey, Red and Blue.

Australian Shepherd

While they are not native Australian dog, they are a beautiful breed with bright variant colors. They look very similar to a fluffy Border Collie which is also one of my top 10s favs as well.

Alaskan Malamute

Another Husky-like dog. However, despite common beliefs, the Alaskan Malamute is not a Husky, it is classified as a Malamute. The Alaskan Malamute is a lot bigger than the Siberian counterpart but both are super loving and highly intelligent breeds. If you are ever wondering if your Alaskan Malamute is a purebred then check it’s eyes. Alaskan Malamute only has brown eye in it’s genes while Siberian Huskies can be either light blue or brown. Another main difference between the two is while a Siberian is more loyal to the “Alpha” of the family, an Alaskan Malamute is loyal to the family as a whole.

Despite having favorite breeds, if a stray or a dog in needs of any breed, I would still do my best to raise it and take care of it.

Vote below to tell me what’s your #1 favorite dog breed.
